Work Exchange

mother with children working at living wisdom schoolOur Work Exchange program for those who may not be able to pay full tuition and show demonstrated need, involves an application process to assess need, through a formal 3rd party screening process. If appropriate and possible, we may offer a tuition reduction, in exchange for scheduled and structured service from one or both parents.

The primary Work-Exchange avenue is through service at Living Wisely Thrift and Gift store, located on 15th Avenue NE in Shoreline. This adjunct to the Living Wisdom School provides direct support to the school to fund tuition reductions. Other work exchange options might be:

  • Teaching a regular and needed enrichment class
  • Performing routine maintenance
  • Organizing or assisting various committees for our fundraising Father and son on field tripevents
  • Computer/ technical assistance as needed

Volunteers Welcomed!

We always welcome volunteer assistance in a number of different areas, including many of the work exchange options above and also:

  • Community outreach
  • Classroom “Moms” for each class
  • Field trip chaperoning
  • One-on-one student tutoring
